These changes have also affected the heated towel rails, as the modern towel rail with a dry heater consumes just little energy - twice less compared to the ordinary water one with an electrical heating element. The easiest and the most effective way of saving is a smart use of devices - namely devices working time limitations when they work excessive. Each Mario electric towel rail is equipped with a timer-regulator with Eco Mode for heating time and temperature control. It allows setting the working time to 3 or 6 hours. Eco Mode, in turn, disables constant heating, and the towel rail works only on a timer. It's very easy to enable Eco Mode. You need to press the timer button, hold it, then press the temperature button and release both in 5 seconds, after which the towel rail will switch off. Then turn it on in a regular way.
In most cases, the electric heated towel rail is not used as a main source of heating the bathroom, therefore, its constant excessive operation leads to extra use of electricity. According to the calculations 3 hours of the towel rail operation is enough to dry the towel totally. About 6 hours of the heated towel rail efficient work is enough to dry the towels twice a day - in the morning and at night, so it works in vain during the rest of the 18 hours! Eco Mode allows you to use the towel rail only when necessary - for 3-6 hours a day to dry clothes. This will reduce the energy consumption by 4 or even 8 times a day.
Thanks to the Eco Mode you don’t need to worry whether you left the towel rail in a heating mode in a rush for the whole day - as it will turn off automatically after 3 or 6 hours, and your towels will wait for you already dried. Also Eco Mode is essential if you have small kids who learn the world by pressing the buttons, and may accidentally turn on the constant heating - in Eco Mode this option is disabled.
